I have posted a few songs from Shammi Kapoor’s “Junglee” (1961) already, but we all know that movies of 1960s, especially those hit movies, like Shammi Kapoor movies had several nice songs.
I will not say that these songs played as big a part in the success of Shammi kapoor movies as say in Rajendra Kumar movies, but there is no doubt that these songs played vital roles in the success of Shammi Kapoor movies also. By now we have come to realise that the team of Rafi, Hasrat Jaipuri and Shankar Jaikishan gave their best in movie after movie, and song after song when it came to a movie featuring Shammi Kapoor.
Here is a nice and memorable song from “Junglee” that goes “ehsaan tera hoga mujh par”.
PS- Please bear with the incomplete lyrics of my songs. For the next one week or so, I will not be able to give full lyrics of the songs. I will give the full lyrics once I am back to my familiar suroundings from where I am away at the moment.
PS-Later I came to know that this song also has a female version, sung by Lata. Now I have provided a link to this version as well as the lyrics (sent by nahm) too. This female version though appears to be a job done in a hurry.

A real classic romantic song. This is a movie full of hit songs, but the sheer refined quality of this composition and rendition is shining example of what S-J could do and did do with Rafi’s voice.
