“Anubhav”, a by now forgotten “art” movie released in 1971 had some nice songs that have become forgotten as well. In fact, most of these songs did not become popular even in 1971. In fact, I never had the opportunity of listening to most of the songs from this movie except one.
This song is sung by Manna Dey and I know about this song only because I received a farmaish for this song. The lyricist is Kapil Kumar and the music was composed by Kanu Roy. And like the movie, these two were also soon forgotten. But that is the way of Bollywood movies where anything out of the mainstream tends to get forgotten since the audiences are not prepared for such movies.

I have enjoyed all the songs from this movie, and now I am going to try and lay my hands on a copy of this DVD, just so I can see this movie, because the scenes are so intriguing. I wonder why this movie was a flop and sank without a trace, inspite of these nice songs. Thanks for finding all the songs, Atul. Keep up the good work!
