Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Dil ki nazar se nazron ki dil se

Posted on: March 21, 2009

“Anaadi” was a movie starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan. There were some very nice songs picturised on them in this movie.

Take this song “dil ki nazar se nazron ke dil se” for example. The song written by Shaiendra convey the feelings of the duo so very coherently. Shankar Jaikishan’s music creates just the right ambience. Mukesh and Lata create magic with their voices. And of course, the picturisation is the icing on the cake.

Lyrics

Dil ki nazar se nazron ki dil se
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bata de
seene se uthkar
hothon pe aayaa
ye geet kaisa ye raag kyaa hai
koi hamen bata de
Dil ki nazar se nazron ki dil se
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bataa de
dil ki nazar se

kyun bekhabar yoon khinchi si chali jaa rahi main
ye kaun se bandhanon me bandhi jaa rahi main
kyun bekhabar yoon khinchi si chali jaa rahi main
ye kaun se bandhanon me bandhi jaa rahi main
kuch kho raha hai kuch mil raha hai
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bata de
dil ki nazar se

ham kho chale
chaand hai ya koyi jaadugar hai
yaa madbhari ye tumhaari nazar ka asar hai
ham kho chale
chaand hai ya koyi jaadugar hai
yaa madbhari ye tumhaari nazar ka asar hai
sab kuchh hamaara ab hai tumhaara
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bata de
dil ki nazar se

aakash me ho rahe hain ye kaise ishaare
kyaa dekhkar aaj hain itne khush chaand taare
aakash me ho rahe hain ye kaise ishaare
kyaa dekhkar aaj hain itne khush chaand taare
ham tum paraaye dil me samaaye
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bata de
dil ki nazar se nazron ki dil se
ye baat kya hai ye raaz kya hai
koyi hamen bata de
dil ki nazar se

Absolutely outstanding song.
Songs like this and songs of Chori Chori (old), Shree 420 make you realise how beautiful the melodies were that Shankar Jaikishen used to come up with in the mid-/late 50s.

And the fact that Nutan is in this movie has not biased me at all. 😉

the song in itself is just uncompareble and outstanding but wht i’d like to stress is the fact that mukesh ji’s voice invariably suits so much with lata ji’s that a song in itself is a classic!
