“Aag” was one of the earliest movies in which Mukesh got an opportunity to sing.
He came up with a memorable song in this movie that goes “Zinda hoon is tarah ki gham e zindagi nahin”. The lyrics by Behzad Lucknowi and music by Ram Ganguly ( both rather unknown now a days) did the star turn really. What wonderful lyrics and what wonderful music ! And the ability of Mukesh to convey pain and heratburn, which would stand him in good stead throughout his long singing career is fully noticeable in this song. This song is easily a Mukesh classic.

mukesh’s voice sounds more like saigal’s in tis ;)..but gud 2 read it here 😀

Line one and two second para, the correct word is ‘go muddatein’ go means although.

Lovely beautiful song sung by Mukesh in his rich emotional soothing voice.U can listen & listen to this song time & again.Enchanting evergreen song.

Heard this ghazal after a long time. The whole song is part of memory , i could easily recall the words to follow.

This is an excellent Mukesh song.
This song reminds me of another classic Mukesh song of that period “mujhe raat din ye khayal hai”. I think you have posted that song ?
