Dekh liyaa maine

This is a song from “Deedaar” (1951). This song is sung by Rafi and Lata.
The picturisation of this song shows Dilip Kumar singing in rafi’s voice and Nargis looking on indulgingly. It is not Nargis who sings in Lata’s voice. It is another lady (Nimmi) who sings in Lata’s voice at a remote location. To the best of my knowlegde, teleconferencing was not known in 1951, but this song is very much like teleconferencing, what with both Dilip Kumar as well as the remotely located lady (Nimmi) singing the same song as if singing a duet.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist and Naushad is the music director.

A very meloncholic song sung by both Rafi and Lata with emotional feeling of separation and disappointment. Equally heart stirring are the Lyrics and the tune. Thanks for including such gems of yesteryear.
