Here is a lovely song from Shikast (1953). It is a duet sung by Talat Mehmood and Lata and it is picturised on Dilip Kumar and Nalini Jaiwant.
The song is written by Shailendra. The music director is Jaikishan. Yes, the music of this movie was composed by just Jaikishan of the Shankar Jaikishan music director duo.
The voice of Talat Mehmood acts as a mental massage and puts one’s mind to rest while one is listening to this song.

This is one of untypical songs of SJ and one of my favourite songs. The orchestra interlude reminds me of the the orchestration style of a well known Marathi film music director, Vasant Prabhu who was at his peak in 50s.
Nalini Jaywant looks beautiful even in a simple costume.
