Milti hai zindagi mein mohabbat kabhi kabhi

“Aankhen” appears to be a very popular title for a Bollywood movie. The debut movie of Madan Mohan was called “Aanken” and in the last one decade or so, we have had two movies by this name- one starring Govinda and another one starring Amitabh Bachchan.
But the most memorable “Aankhen” of them all was the Dharmendra-Mala Sinha spy thriller that was released in 1968. Among other things, like Shetty being pitted against Dharmendra ( a first such showdown in a Bollywood movie, I think) this movie had some memorable music. All these days, I was for one reason or other, was not able to post songs from this movie. Finally I have decided tha enough was enough, and there was no way the songs from this movie could be kept out any longer.
Out of all the songs in this movie, this song “miltui hai zindagi me muhabbat kabhi kabhi” is popular even today. The lyrics ( by Sahir Ludhianvi) may make the listeners feel that it is a serious philosophical song, but that is not the case. The picturisation shows Mala Sinha teasing Dharmendr at first, and they the two are seen picnicing in various places in the course of the song.
Lata sang this song and Ravi was the music director.

It is songs like these that you think you have no clue what it is, and then when you listen to it.. voila, you used to listen to it all the time when you were young. What a feeling. Thank you so very much Atul. This site is a dream :).
