“Garam Khoon” (1980) was a movie starring Vinod Khanna and Sulakshana Pandit. Neither the movie nor its songs made much of an impression when the movie was released in 1979.
When I listened to this song for the first time yesterday, I liked this song. this is a song sung by Kishore Kumar and picturised on Vinod Khanna and Sulakshana Pandit. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is by Shankar Jaikishan, though actually it was only by Shankar, considering that Jaikishan had died 8 years ago. Shankar continued to give music under the name of Shankar Jaikishan for the rest of his life, but that was only in smaller banner movies and the glory days of Shankar Jaikishan could never be recaptured by Shankar.
However, there were a few songs like the one under discussion which showed that Shankar could still come up with some good songs, even if such songs came few and far between.
