Haseen ho Khuada to nahin ho

I have discovered yet another gem of a song. This is from a movie called “Mud Mud Ke Naa Dekh” (1960). This was a movie with Bharat Bhooshan and Anita Guha in lead roles.
This is a teasing song where Bharat Bhooshan stalks and harasses Anita Guha throughout while lip syncing this song. as I have mentioned quite a few times while discussing such songs, I would love to see one of these heroes hauled up under section 298 of IPC (that deals with “eve teasing”). Too bad I have yet to come across any such movies.
The song itself is sung wonderfully well. Mukesh for a change gets to sing a song which is not a melancholic song, and he does a fine job. Prem Dhawan is the lyricist and Hansraj Bahl composed the music. It is a wonderful song from a low budget ( read B grade) movie. In fact, there was nothing B grade about Bollywood music those days, Even B and C grade movies used to come up with outstanding songs, even if these songs failed to get popular. And this song sound as good a song as any that I have ever heard. And I listened to this for the first time only just now ! What a song !

What a coincidence. I love this soft melody to see Bharat Bhushan in a different kind of role. 🙂

Am hearing this song for the first time.
Very cute song.
And it is refreshing to see Bharat Bhushan in this type of role. 🙂
