Earlier I had posted a superb song sung by Geeta Dutt on Meena Kumari from the movie “Tamasha” (1952). Here is another forgotten gem from the same movie.
This song too is picturised on Meena Kumari , but here it is Lata who is the playback singer. It is a sad song , written by Bharat Vyas and composed by Manna Dey. Yes, Manna Dey had composed majority of songs of this movie after Khemchand Prakash, the original music director of this movie passed away during the making of this movie.
