Kisi Nargisi Nazar Ko Dil Denge Ham

Mukesh in 1950s and 1960s was usually associated with sad songs accompanied by sombre music, which were usually sung on screen by Raj Kapoor.
Here in this song, all ingredients of this being a Raj Kapoor song are there. The movie is “Main Nashe Me Hoon”(1959), lyricist is Hasrat Jaipuri and music director is Shankar Jaikishan, and the singer is Mukesh, and Raj Kapoor is there in this movie.
But this song is not picturised on Raj Kapoor. This song has the word “Nargisi” in it and Raj Kapoor, who had a long on and off screen affair with Nargis, which was over by then, reportedly refused to have this song picturised on him, and this song was subsequently picturised on a bit actor, viz Maruti.
And this song is not the usual sad poignant song. It is a sunny happy song. And interestingly, the music is western music, with nice music created by mouth organ and violin.
It is a song I listened for the first time only today. And I loved the song. What a nice song to listen to. And the picturisation is good too. It is a good “new” song that I just discovered.

I think this song is reasonably popular. I have definitely heard this a few times. Nice, catchy song. Pleasant tune.
