“Ek Kunwaari Ek Kunwaara” (1973) is not a movie too many people have much knowledge about. I watched the video of a song from this movie recently and I found that it had a nice party song in it.
This song “agar dil hamara sheeshe ke badle pathar ka hota” is sung by Kishore Kumar and picturised on Rakesh Roshan. This is a party song, as I mentioned earlier, and the lady who is required to squirm while listening to this song is someone who appears unfamiliar to me. any idea who she is ?
well, now I know that the squirming lady is Leena Chandawarkar. She was too young at that time and I began to recognise her only from her later movies. On the other hand, I could not recognise Kumkum either since I was used to seeing her in movies of 1950s and 60s, where she used to be younger.
This song is written by Prakash Mehra , who is better known as a director of movies rather than as a lyricist. Kalyanji Anandji composed the music.
It is a nice memorable song from a forgettable movie.

Leena Chandawarkar looked vaguely familiar, but not familiar enough for me to be sure of her identity. even Kumkum looked vaguely familiar. I failed to make a positive identification for both. Thanks for helping me out.

I do not believe this !!!
When I saw the title of this song on your blog, I immediately broke into the song. And this is after last hearing this song no later than when it was released !!! At least 25 years ago !!!
Have never heard this song since – and never even remembered it once since. Had no clue about the movie. The song was somewhere in my sub-conscious.
And now I see it here. And get a chance to watch the video.

how come u didn’t recognise Leena Chandavarkar in the high funda saree. The lady with the baby is Kum Kum who places the hero’s mute adopted sister in this movie. which was the lady you cudn’t recognise?
