This movie called “Miss Bombay” (1957) is as obscure a movie as any. Few people now remember this movie and indeed its songs.
Here is a song from this forgotten movie. It is written by Prem Dhawan and its music director is Hansraj Bahl. The song is sung by Rafi.
The person on whom this song is picturised appears vaguely familiar and then I got it- it was Ajit, who used to play hero those days and as a result of being a hero, he used to sing songs as well.
And come to think of it, the song is quite nice to listen to.

This song is penned by two poets one is prem dhawan and the other is Asad bhopali.

“Miss Bombay” had some fantastic songs. This particular song is a classic. Should be included in Rafi’s best songs. The actor Ajit had many, many classic songs to his credit. The intro to this song could have been more generous.
