Mere jeewan mein kiran banke bikharne waale

I was neither aware of this movie called “Talaaq” (1958) nor this song from the movie.
The song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Manna Dey and it is picturised on Kamini Kadam and Rajendra Kumar. Pradeep is the lyricist and C Ramchandra composed the music.
It is a nice song to listen to and I liked this song the first time I heard this song, which was just half a century later after this song first came into existence.

aaa aaa aaa
mere jeewan mein kiran banke bikharne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
aankhon aankhon se mere man mein utarne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
kya kisi dev ke bheje huye wardaan ho tum
kya kisi dev ke bheje huye wardaan ho tum
jaane ?? pichle janam ki koi pahchaan ho tum
dhoondhta tha jise dil kya wahi mehmaan ho tum
dhoondhta tha jise dil kya wahi mehmaan ho tum
apni muskaan se paagal mujhe karne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
mere jeewan mein kiran banke bikharne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
aaa aaa aaa
is tarah aaj kyun lalcha rahe ho tum mujhko
is tarah aaj kyun lalcha rahe ho tum mujhko
kidhar udaa ke liye jaa rahe ho tum mujhko
baat wo kyaa hai jo samjhaa rahe ho tum mujhko
baat wo kyaa hai jo samjhaa rahe ho tum mujhko
chupke chupke meri duniya ko badalne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
mere jeewan mein kiran banke bikharne waale
bolo tum kaun ho
bolo tum kaun ho
aaa aaa aaa

Beautiful song. I remember hearing it in my younger days and liking it even then. There was another song also in this movie, which I am going to google and find and then I will post my farmaish. Thanks, Atul.

Atul, I think this is the song, sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus:
Ghar ghar ko tum swarg banana, har aangan ko phulwari
Hum pe badi zimmedari dekh rahi duniya saari ….
I couldn’t find it on youtube. It was one of those idealistic songs that we were all listening to in the 50’s.
Thanks, Atul.
