Most of the songs in this blog are from 1950s and 1960s, so going by the standards of this blog, this song is a brand new song, in mint condition. 🙂
This song is from “Maachis” (1996). The songs of this movie are written by Gulzar. I need not look any further than that to conclude that these songs must be good,and so they are.
This song is sung by a newer crop of singers namely Hariharan(some idea) Suresh Wadkar (I know about him), Vinod Sehgal (no idea) and Kay Kay (no idea). Music director is Vishaal and I do not know much about him either.
But as mentioned above, this movie has some nice hummable songs in it, that have remained hummable even to this day, 13 years later. Therefore one can conclude that these songs belong to this blog, where I like to post memorable songs that stand the test of time.
So here is this song, which can be enjoyed by younger generation and earlier generations too.
