This song is of considerable historical importance as it gives us the first glimpse of Raj Kapoor and Madhubala (credited as Mumtaz in this movie) in lead roles.
This is a female solo song, and this song is sung by Raj Kumari, who was a leading female playback singer of those days. Kidar Sharma is the lyricist and the archtypical 1940s style music of this song is composed by B Vasudev.
It is a lovely song from 62 years ago from a movie that gave us two legendary actors.

The MD B.Vasudev is the same person as Snehal Bhatkar of Hamari Yaad Aayegi.Under the name V G Bhatkar he sang marathi bhajans.
