Mat chhed zindagi ke khaamosh taar sojaa

“Raag rang” (1952) is one movie about which very little is known today. The only thing that I know about this movie is that it had music by Roshan and that Geeta Bali was the lead actress in this movie.
I just stumbled upon a song from this movie. The song does not add to my knowledge about the movie, since it is not a video, but an audio garnished by a collage of pictures of actors who were not necessaily in this movie.
But what I can tell from this song that Roshan has come up with a gem of a song here. It is a song sung initially by Talat Mehmood and then by Lata towards the end of the song. Kaif Irfani has come up with some lovely lyrics, and it is these lyrics that make this song such a pleasure to listen to.

Dr. Vyas,
I wanted to know if the film Raag Rang is about a singer or a musician. There is a song Ae Ri Aali Piya Bin which has been sung like a Khayal. The title of the film also indicates that. Could you throw some light on this.

I came across this song recently and can honestly say that is it is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It is straight from heaven and I love it. I keep playing it and it leaves me misty-eyed. i just wish more people were aware about this gem.

रोशन साहब के बेमिसाल संगीतमहल की नींव शायद ‘रागरंग’ या ‘नौबहार’ के रूप में आज भी उतनी ही सशक्त है जितनी उनके संगीत के सफर के शुरूआती दौर में थी ।
”दिल-ए-बेकरार सो जा … ” में रोशन साहब की गजलों की कंपोजिश्न में आरंभिक मजबूत पकड़ का अहसास सहज ही हो जाता है …. लेकिन साथ में क्या शानदार स्वर लहरियों का जाल बुना है ‘कैफ इरानी’ साहब ने … मुझे भी वो उतना ही आकर्षित करते हैं जितना रोशन-तलत-लता ।
तारे चमक के अपनी मंजिल को जा रहे हैं,

Raag Rang was produced by Bali Sisters(Geeta Bali and Sudha Bali) Ashok Kumar was casted with Geeta Bali.
This perticular song was filmed on Ashok Kumar and Geeta Bali.
