I thought that I had posted songs from “Sharada” in the past. It turns out that I was confusing “Sharada” with “Sadhana”. Yes, those days we had movies with names like “Sharada”, “Sadhana”, “Kalpana” etc which were also the names of some well known actresses. Incidentally, the actress with the same name was nowhere to be found in these movies.
For instance, one cannot find Sharada in “Sharada”. Instead one finds the gorgeous Shyama in this movie acting opposite Raj Kapoor. Here in this song, Shyama sings a happy song dancing all around the palatial mansion that all Bollywood characters owned in movies of those days.
This song is sung joyously by Asha Bhonsle. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist and C Ramchandra is the music director. In fact, Asha Bhonsle sings this song with the same passion that one later noticed Rafi reserving for Shammi Kapoor and his clones. In fact, Shammi Kapoor once remarked that if Rafi was unavailable to sing for him, he would want Asha Bhonsle to sing for him. That is a indeed a very sweet compliment to Asha Bhonsle from Shammi Kapoor.
This song is nice to listen to and nice to watch to. Shyama certainly lights up the screen with her exuberance.

The way she dances so effortlessly reminds me of her in the song Ae Dil Mujhe Bata De from the movie Bhai Bhai (1956) where she dances so well too.
