Tumhe dil se chaahaa

When I decide to post a song, most of my time is taken to get the lyrics right. There are some people who inform me that one can get lyrics of the songs on internet. Like most well meaning (and uninformed and unsolicited) advises, this information is not backed by facts.
When you try to search for lyrics, the top results claim that they have the lyrics. But you can keep searching and searching, and after wasting valuable time, one finds that the site did not have the lyrics that they claimed to have.
In case one finds sites where lyrics are available, these lyrics are often incomplete. Moreover, they are often incorrect. Moreover, I have found that most such sites do not bother to get the lyrics for themselves. They all cut and paste from the same source and carry the same incomplete and/ or incorrect lyrics.
And then there are songs for which lyrics are not at all available, for the simple reason that few people are aware of these songs. Many of the songs posted in this blog fall in that categories. In other words, the lyrics of these songs are available for the first time only in this blog.
Here is a song from “Chaand Aur Sooraj” (1965) which not too many people may be aware of. Or perhaps I am speaking from my ignorant point of view. I indeed listened to this song for the first time only just now and spend time getting the lyrics right.
This song is sung beautifully by Suman Kalyanpur and Rafi. Shailendra is the lyricist and Salil Chaudhary is the music director. The song is picturised on very young looking Dharmendra and Tanuja. This song is a “Beach” song.
