I have posted a few songs from “Dil Hi To Hai” (1963) in the past. But the title song/ theme song of the movie is not one of them.
Here is the title song/ theme song of the movie. It is sung by Mukesh and picturised on Raj Kapoor, Nutan etc. It is interesting to notice that Raj Kapoor in this movie “sings” not only in Mukesh’s voice , but also in Manna Dey’s voice (in the songs “laaga chunri mein daag” and “Parda uthe salaam ho jaaye”).
Sahir Ludhianvi is the lyricist and Roshan composed the music.

Very nice song. I liked this movie. Nutan was just so lovely.
There are 2 songs that can be considered title songs. This one – as well as the “Dil jo bhi kahega”.
Btw, this movie had a song “tumhari mast nazar” where both Raj Kapoor and Nutan are drunk. I quite like that song and see that it has not yet been posted (hint, hint !). 🙂

Since last few weeks I have listened to this song many times. One of my favorite Mukesh songs.
I get to watch this movie in my growing years, may be in 1979-80, during weekly screenings of Hindi movies as t our colony club premises.
Others songs of this movie, as we all like, are beautiful too.

I think line is … “bedaad-garon ki thokar se”
bedaad = injustice
Anyway, Shahir the magician & Roshan. One of my fav movie for it’s songs.
