Look what a gem I have stumbled upon this time ! This song is from a movie called “Moti Mahal” (1952). This movie had Ajit, Suraiyya and others in it.
I have no idea about the story of this movie, and I had little idea about the songs of this movie. But here is a wonderful philosophical song from this movie. It is sung by Rafi and Madhubala Zhaveri. This Madhubala Zhaweri is different from the actress Madhubala but most people uploading songs sung by Madhubala Zhaveri tend to confuse her with actress Madhubala and they upload her movies with pictures of Madhubala the actress.
Lyrics by Asad Bhopali are the real star of this song. The words tell us the stark facts of like thatnotwithstanding our delusions of grandeur,we all are mortals. We come alone and we depart alone, and we take nothing with us when we depart.
This superb song is composed by Hansraj Behl.

Atul, I have seen this movie long ago, probably this song was picturised on a pair of beggars.
Lyrics was written by Asad Bhopali and not by Prem Dhawan as you mentioned, though he has written 3 other songs for the same film. In total there were 7 songs but writer of one song ” Kaum desh se lee aya re babu, dulhan bhole bhole” remains unknown.

As pointed out by Dr Rashmikant Vyas, the lyrics of this song was written by Asad Bhopali. myswar.com and gitaayan also credit this song to Asad Bhopali.
Please correct the tag.
