Here is a rare and special song from a rare movie called “Darwaazaa” (1954).
This song is special, because Suman Hemmady (later Kalyanpur), then an up and coming singer got to sing with Talat Mehmood for the first time in her career and that helped her singing career to rise.
This song is written by Khumar Barabankwi and music is composed by Naashaad (not to be confused with Naushaad).
I am not very clear about the identity of actors on whom this song is picturised. My guess is they are Shekhar and Protima Devi. I request the knowledgeable readers to inform us about the identity of these actors.
I am also unable to understand a few words and an entire line towards the end of the song. Readers with keener ears are requested to inform me what these words/line could be so that I may be able to make the necessary corrections.
