Dekhaa naa haay re sochaa na haay re

If Rekha celebrates her birthday on 10th october then can Amitabh Bachchan be far behind ? He celebrates his birthday the very next day, viz. 11th october. And that gives me an opportunity (rather command from my regular readers) to post Amitabh Bachchan songs on this opportunity.
Here is the first song of the day picturised on Amitabh Bachchan. It is from the fun filled movie called “Bombay to Goa” (1971). It is a “bus” song. so what is new ? Every song in this song is a bus song seeing that the entire action in the movie takes place on a bus going from Bombay to Goa. Well, this is the first time when Amitabh Bachchan, then a gawky looking actor is seen to let his hair down and lip sync a song like this.
Kishore Kumar has sung this song with great enthusiasm and this song must be the first hit song that Kishore Kumar sang for Amitabh Bachchan.
The song is written by Rajinder Krishan and music is composed by R D Burman.
So here is this great song from “Bombay to Goa” (1972) to mark the birthday of amitabh Bachchan who was born this day in 1942.
Song-Dekha na haaye re sochaa na haaye re (Bombay To Goa) (1972) Singer-Kishore Kumar, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-R D Burman
Lyrics

marke bhi chain naa mile,
to jaayenge yaaron kahaan
are yehoon … bow wow wow wow
dekhaa na haay re sochaa na haay re

chup bhi to rahaa nahin jaaye
bulbul hai kaun,

Love this song.
Amitabh was so much fun in the days before he began acting with Rekha. 🙂

has any one noticed that the movies where he is romancing Rekha or Parveen babi for that matter; there was no delicate love showing. all that can be seen in movies where he is romancing Zeenat Aman, Hema Malini, Rakhee, Neetu Singh and above all Waheeda Rehman. in fact with these other heroines he would show all his love in his eyes. also i ve read somewhere that he was a huge fan of Waheeda Rehman and cudn’t believe his luck when he shared screen space with her in “Reshma Aur Shera”

i ve heard an interview of the late Mehmood. in that he has related how this song was picturised. it seems they were to shoot this song in the first schedule of the movie and Amitabh developed cold feet. so, Mehmood relted how they went through 90% of the movie and by then Amitabh had got used to the entire crew. so later when they got back to picturing the song Mehmood had given strict instructions to the crew that no one shd laugh at whatever this man does and the entire cast responded to whatever Amitabh did.
this interview was on TV a few years prior to mehmood’s death and he was praising Amitabh for the vast improvement he had achieved in dancing even if it was called Amitabh brand dancing which is actually inspired by Bhagwan Dada of old times.

Yes, I have also read (or perhaps heard/watched) Mehmood’s interview where he mentioned this fact.
