Chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre

“Miyaan Beewi Raazi” (1960) was a small budget movie made with unknown actors like Kamini Kadam, Shrikant Gaurav, Seema, Raja Gosavi and Mehmood. This movie apparently failed at the box office, seeing that the names of the lead actors of this movie do not ring any bells.
This movie, list most movies of the golden era, had wonderful songs in it.
Here is a song sung by Suman Kalyanpur. The song is picturised nicely on Kamini Kadam and Shrikant Gaurav. Now, the picturisation shows two pairs of actors. Which of these two pairs of actors are Kamini Kadam and Shrikant Gaurav is not known to me. And any idea what are the names of the other pair of actors ?
This lovely song is written by Shailendra. Music is composed by S D Burman.

Lyrics
sun li muraliya
aayi main chupke
yahi apraadh kyaa kam hai
sach kahtin thhi sakhiyaan meri
bada chhaliyaa Kishan Mohan hai
sach kahtin thhin sakhiyaan meri
sun li muraliya
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
laaj ke maare main to paani paani huyi jaaun
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
naar naweli main gaaon ki gwaalan
jaanoon na ye preet ki paheli
ho
naar naweli main gaaon ki gwaalan
jaanoon na ye preet ki paheli
mohe dar laage
mohe dar laage
jhooth mooth main kahin
badnaam na ho jaaun
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
ho mitwaa
ho mitwaa
neer bharan ke roz bahaane karoon
chori chori aaun tose milne
ho
neer bharan ke roz bahaane karoon
chori chori aaun tose milne
tose nit jaane ka
tose nit jaane ka
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
aaj nahin to kal
wo khulega jab
aate jaate duniyaa degi taane
ho
aaj nahin to kal
wo khulega jab
aate jaate duniyaa degi taane
more man bhaaye
more man bhaaye
kaahe tohe dil diyaa re
badi pachhtaaun
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
laaj ke maare main to paani paani huyi jaaun
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre
chhodo chhodo mori bainyya saanwre

ab jab bhi main ye gaane sunoonga, aapki hillstation ki yaadein especially SAMOSE ki yaad sau feesadi zaroor aayegi. Har ek gaane ke saath ,koi na koi meri yaadein, judi rehti hai,”YEH KAISA NASHA HAI”(Is naam se ek film bhi bani hai,aur ek title gana bhi hai) aisa mera paagalpan hai Hindi filmi gaanon ke prathi.

This song takes me back to a hill station holiday with my parents, and we had a small radio in the house where we stayed, so my mother and I used to listen to music during the day while my dad was busy with work. It would be raining outside, we sat in a room overlooking the lake, and the radio would be playing this song, as well as the song from Chhaliya – Dum dum diga diga mausam bheega bheega …, and somebody would bring in hot samosas and roasted corn on the cob! Aah, beautiful memories!!
How is it that just listening to a song can evoke such beautiful memories? Thanks, Atul!
