I have been discussing the songs of “Parbat Pe Apna Deraa” (1944) these days. and what wonderful songs this movie has ! It is a treasure trove of gems.
Here is a nice song from this song. It is sung by Zohrabai Ambaalewaali. The picturisation shows Ulhas and Vanmala enjoying a boat ride. They hear this song emanating from another boat. They move closer to that boat where a lady (Kanta Kumari) is singing this song. They seek her permission to listen to her song. Permission granted,they (and the viewers) are treated to this great song.
The song is sung by Zohrabai Ambalewaali. The real star of this song has to be the lyricist Deewan Sharar who has written this song. And Vasant Desai is the music director.
