Another wonderful gem, that I had been searching for many years.
This blog, coupled with YouTube is such a blessing, wow! Looking for this song, trying to trace it through the movie name, I found the earlier posted song here, viz. Saath ho tum aur raat jawaan (Kaanch Ki Gudiyaa) . I clicked on the “play in YouTube” button. In the new window that opened up, this song was sitting in the suggested listing on the right hand side !
What a relief to have located this. 🙂 Asha Bhosle has so beautifully sung this piece. The lyrics by Shailendra are lovely, and composition by Suhrid Kar is so melodious and hummable.
I have not seen this movie, but it is safe to assume that this song must be picturized on Saeeda Khan. The song conveys emotions of fond remembrances and deep gratitude, for being the love of her life – “mere khwaabon mein jitney rang hain, tumne bikhere hain”. In the 3rd antaraa, there is a desire expressed to meet again. The words and the feelings they convey, are just wonderful. Enjoy this lovely composition.
