“Bilwamangal” (1954) is a movie that was based on the life of the blind poet Surdas. K C Dey, a blind artist of Hindi movies had played the title role.
I have discussed two songs from this movie in the past. Here is another song from this movie. this song is sung by C H Atma, a K L Saigal clone who sang in K L Saigal style in 1950s, long after the K L Saigal style of singing was passe in Hindi movie circles.
D N Madhok, who also produced this movie, is the lyricist of this song. Bulo C Rani composed the music.
Only the audio is available, so I am unable to tell for sure about the picturisation of this song. Seeing that K C Dey sang for himself, this song could have been picturised on Ulhas, who had also acted in this movie.

There appears to be a tiny glitch in the audio clip, such that in the repeat of the line
“is murli mein saat chhed hain”
the word “murli” is distorted.
The second antaraa starts with the line
“baans ki pori haath mein le kar”.
The word “pori” here is used to mean a female person, or even a ‘saheli’.
