Teri raahon mein khade hain dil thhaam ke

“Chhaliyaa” (1960) was the very first movie that was directed by Manmohan Desai. And no, it was not a Multistarrer with Amitabh Bachchan. It was a movie starring Raj Kapoor and Nutan.
This movie is still known for its songs. The Music of this song may sound like the music of the usual musical team of Shankar Jaikishan and Shailendra/Hasrat Jaipuri but that was not the case. Music for this movie was composed by the then up and coming Kalyanji Anandji and they did a great job creating songs that sounded so much like Shankar Jaikishan kind of songs.
I have discussed as many as five songs from this movie. And all of them are very well known songs too. There are still songs from this movie that are not yet discussed.
Here is one of the still missing songs from this movie. The song is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Nutan. It is that well known song “Teri raahon mein khade hain dil thhaam ke”.

And incidentally, this song is the 200th composition of Kalyanji Anandji in this blog ! And it is a nice song to bring up this landmark for them in this blog.
