I have discussed one song from “Grihasthhi” (1948) in the past. From the comments by our experts, I came to know that this movie had actors like Masood,Sulochana Chatterji,Pran,Sharada,Shyama,Kuldeep kaur,Faizi,Rajni,Yakub, Lalita Pawar,Mirza Musharraf etc in it.
Here is a duet song from this song. It is sung by Mukesh and Shamshad Begam. Only the audio of this song is available. The earlier song discussed from this movie showed Sulochana Chatterji lip syncing in Shamshad Begam’s voice. From the above clues, I guess that this song is picturised on Masood and Sulochana Chatterji. I request our knowledgeable readers to help confirm/ correct my assumptions on the picturisation of this song.
The song is written by Shakeel Badayuni. Ghulam Mohammad is the music director.

This song was picturised on Pran and Sharda who was the sister of actor Vinod Mehra. Sulochana Chatterjee was paired with Yaqub in the movie and Masood was with Kuldip Kaur. Ir was a golden jubilee hit in 1948 and was remade in 1963 by Kishore Sahu as “Ghar Basake Dekho” starring Rajshree , Shyama , Savitri and Manoj Kumar and Mehmood.
