“Teen Sardaar” (1965) was a B grade movie with Randhawa, Parveen Chaudhary, Meenakshi, Azad etc in it. This movie today is as obscure as any B grade movie can be. Very little is known about this movie, and that includes its music.
But it does not mean that the music of this movie was B grade. Not at all. There are B grade movies, but there is nothin like B grade music in Hindi movies in the golden era.
Here is an awesome song from “Teen Sardaar” (1965). This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor and Asha Bhonsle. Prem Warbartani is the lyricist. Hansraj Bahl is the music director.
I first discovered this song some one year back and I in fact held this song back to be posted for some special occasion. But now I have realised that there are so many great songs in Hindi movies of the golden era that any opportunity is a good enough opportunity to introduce such songs to the music lovers. So here is this awesome song.
In case some music lovers wonder what is the big deal about this song, then they should listen to this song a few times. Then the song will definitely grow upon the listeners. In fact, that is how songs become popular, and a few of them become evergreen too. This song deserved better exposure and it would have got it, had it been part of a well known movie instead of a B grade movie.

Beautiful song but the line ‘apni zulfon ko sunghaa kar mujhe behosh karo’ always makes me laugh.
