Ye saaye hain ye duniyaa hai

I know about many older movies, but frankly I had never heard of this movie called “Sitaaraa” (1980). I became aware of this movie and its songs only because of the lyrics of this song sent by Prakashchandra.
This movie had Mithun Charkavarty, Zarina Wahaab,Kanhaiyyalal,Paintal, Mac mohan, Savita bajaj,T.P.Jain,Agha,Suresh chatwal,Yunus Parwaiz, Dinesh Thakur etc in it. This movie was directed by Meeraj, who was an assistant of Gulzar. He had also directed “Palkon Ki Chhaaon mein” a few years ago.
Personally I do not recall even listening to the songs of this movie at that time. so the first time I have ever heard a song from this movie is only just now, some three decades after these songs were created.
Here is this lovely song from “Sitaaraa” (1980). This song is`sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Zarina Wahab. Gulzar is the lyricist and music is composed by R D Burman.

thank you for sending the lyrics of this song, and atul for posting it.
and by the way i do not remember if had heard this when the movie released but i remember the other song “Sajnaa Ka Kangana'” from this movie
but anyway what a lovely composition and what more to expect from the Asha-Gulzar-R D combo!!!!!!!:-)

In fact, I have to thank you PEEVESIE`S MOMji, for writing two lines regarding the song.
Atleast one person is there who had heard the songs of this almost forgotten film.
I always get a feeling that Oh my god!, whether I am the only person on the earth, to hear such songs and requesting songs from such obscure films, which no one hears and sees(jinke baare mein almost no one is interested), anything is WRONG with me?
Atulji and all the other readers kya sochthe honge mere baare mein ye sochke main hairaan ho jaata hoon, kabhi kabaar!!!!!!??????
