“Kailashpati”(1962) was directed by Dhirubhai Desai for Alice Pictures, Bombay. This mythological movie had Sumitradevi, Mahesh Kumar Desai( brother of Manhar Desai), Jeevan, Niranjan Sharma, Padma rani, Premlata, Paul Sharma, Abhiumanyu Sharma, Bhoj Kumar, Polson, Laxmi Kant Bagla, Champaklala, Darshan Kumar, Dushyant, Nitin Kumar, S.P.Kalla, Deepak Kumar, Prakash Bagla, Indira Bansal etc in it.
The movie had 16 songs in it. Five songs have been covered in the past.
Here is the sixth song from “Kailashpati”(1962) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Mahendra Kapoor. Madan Bharti is the lyricist. Music is composed by Avinash Vyas. The song is picturised on a child character surrounded by two more men and they play bhikshu seeking alms from Sumitra Devi. From comments on youtube, I gather that the child is Lord Shiva in disguise. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song (including identification of the actors seen in the picturisation.
