“Chakradhaari” (1954) was an archtypical B grade mythological movie. It had Nirupa Roy,Trilok Kapoor and Shahu Modak in lead roles. Such movies normally have a very limited run among movie lovers and then these movies are forgotten.
The movie was no great shakes but this movie had some amazing songs in it. And this movie is worth remembering just for its songs.
I have discussed four songs from this movie in the past and I will doubtlessly discuss many more songs from this movie.
Here is another song from this movie. this song, where Nirupa Roy takes the almighty to task for snatching away her kid from her, is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Pradeep is the lyricist. Music is composed by Avinash Vyas.
This is a very impressive song to listen to. so impressive in fact that the the shamefaced Almighty is forced to return her kid back to Nirupa Roy ! Yes, remonstrating with Gods certainly pays off in Hindi movie songs. 😀
