“Bandhan” (19408), though over seven decades old has songs that sound fresh and contemporary to me even to this date. And for that one has to admire the creators of these songs who created such timeless classic.
Ashok Kumar and Leela Chitnis are the main actors in this movie and they have sung some lovely songs in this movie. But here is a song that is sung by Leela Chitnis and Master Shyam, playing her brother. The song is picturised on them as well. It is a lovely teasing song. Master Shyam, the younger brother of Leela Chitnis comes home and demand food. Leela Chitnis, who is in a cheerful mood begins to tease him in this song. In the song, she tells him that she will make him dance. That is not all, she tells him that she will dress him up like a girl too, full with lehanga,chunri,jhoomar,kangan,bindiya etc. Her kid brother is obviously not amused.
This extremely cute song is written by Pradeep. Music is composed by Saraswati Devi.
LIstening to this cute song and watchhing its picturrisation is a wonderful experience. What a lovely and heartwarming song it is !
