“Cha Cha Cha” (1964) is Bhavdeep Films production. It was produced and Directed by Chandrashekhar. He was also the hero of this movie. He had signed up Helen to play the heroine opposite him. So this movie was one of the rare occasions when Helen was not a one song wonder but got to sing lots of songs and got to act in a Bhartiya Naari kind of role.

Here is a romantic duet from this movie. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle and Rafi. It is picturised as a car song on Helen and Chandrashekhar. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by Iqbal Qureshi.

Atul ji,
CHA CHA CHA(1964) was a movie, though purposeful and with a morale, was full of ingredients of entertainment. Its main objective was to analyse and assess how much and to what extent we should “westernise” ourselves in pursuit of the modern culture. If we discarded it,we would lag behind times and if we went all for it,we would perhaps sow seeds of our ruin.
Cha Cha Cha was a probe into the moral and material conflict of those times. It dealt as much with drain pipe pants, twists and jam sessions as with the thought process of Beatniks and their misguided parents who landed their children in disaster in an attempt to show off !
Depicting the fad of fast foods and fast livings the film story travelled from Kashmir to Bombay to Hyderabad. It showed the transformation of Laila(Helen)from western to Indian woman with the help of Puran chand Kashmiri(Chandrashekhar).
Chandrashekhar was the Producer/Director/story writer/Dialogue writer/S.play writer and Hero of the film.
With good music and dances(it was Chandrashekhar’s hobby) it was an enjoyable movie and did excellent business.
