“Sartaj” (1950) is an obscure movie which was produced by Omar Khayyam (?) and directed by S Khalil. This movie had actors like Motilal, Munawwar Sultana, Cuckoo, Manorama, Ansari, Mirza Musharaf, Shyama, Rattan Bai etc in it.
The songs of this movie are as obscure as the movie itself. Here is a lovely duet from this movie. This song is sung by Mukesh and Zohrabai Ambalewaali. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Husnlal Bhagatram.
Only the audio of this song is available, but my guess is that this song is picturised on Motilal and Munawwar Sultana.

Atul ji,
SARTAJ(1950),a Omar Khayyam Production film,produced by Omar Khayyam Saharanpuri and Directed by S.Khalil was a social film.
The cast was,Motilal and Shyama in the lead,with Munawar Sultana,mirza Musharraf,Ansari,Cuckkoo,Manorama,Rattan bai etc.
The film was an usual love triangle between motilal,shyama and munwwar sultana.the director Khalil was a renowned flop director and here too,he continued his flop show successfully.The story,dialogues and screenplay were by Sultana-the wife of the producer,Omar khayyam saharanpuri,further added to the films’ woes.There was the expected result and the film became obscure in no time.
