“Bharosa” (1963) was a Vasu production movie and it was directed by K Shankar. This movie had actors like Guru Dutt, Asha Parekh, Shobha Khote, Sulochana Chatterji, Nana Palsikar, Neena, Shivraj, Lalita Pawar, Om Prakash, Mehmood, Sudesh Kumar etc.
This movie is still remembered for its fantastic music. So far two songs from this movie have been discussed here and many more songs from the movie are required to be covered.
Here is a “missing the beloved” category of song from “Bharosa” (1963). The song is sung by Lata. The picturisation shows Asha Parekh missing her beloved and singing this song on a beach, leaning against a coconut tree and other such props.
After lipsyncing one stanza, we find her going futher into the water. In the next stanza, she ventures even further into the water, and sings that stanza resting on rocks surrounded on all sides by flowing water. I begin to wonder what will happen if there is any more stanza left in the song. Indeed there is one more stanza in the song. and I find that this time Asha Parekh lands into what looks like an island !
I must say that I loved the picturisation of song, especially her excursion into the water. In fact, I was so engrossed in that that I forgot that I was supposed to empathise with Asha jee missing her beloved instead of enjoying the scenery. 🙂
This lovely song is written by Rajinder Krishan.

Lyrics(Provided by nahm)
wo dil kahaan se laaun
teri yaad jo bhulaa de
wo dil kahaan se laaun
teri yaadjo bhulaa de
mujhe yaad aanewaale
koyi raasta bataa de
wo dil kahan se laaun
teri yaad jo bhulaa de
rehne de mujh ko apne
qadmon ki khaaq ban kar
rehne de mujh ko apne
qadmon ki khaaq ban kar
jo nahin tujhe gawaara
mujhe khaaq mein milaa de
wo dil kahaan se laaun
teri yaad jo bhulaa de
mere dil ne tujh ko chaahaa
kya yehi meri khataa hai
mere dil ne tujh ko chaahaa
kya yehi meri khataa hai
maana khataa hai lekin
aisi to na sazaa de
wo dil kahaan se laaun
teri yaad jo bhulaa de
mujhe yaad aanewaale
koyi raasta bataa de
wo dil kahan se laaun
teri yaad jo bhulaa de
