“Ek Raat” (1967) is a movie which was produced by a production house called East and West movies. Rajnath was the director. This B grade movie had Sheikh Mukhtar, Simi Garewal, Madan Puri, Samson, Shyama, Laxmi Chhaya, Ravi Kumar, David Abraham etc in it.
As many as three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. They were three solo songs sung by three different singers and picturised on three different actors. Rafi, Asha Bhonsle and Usha Khanna had sung for Vijay Kumar, Helen and Simi Garewal respectively in those three songs.
Here is the fourth song from this movie and it is another solo song and sung by yet another playback singer-Mukesh this time. This song is written by Anjaan and music is composed by Usha Khanna.
This melancholic song is picturised on an actor whom I do not recognise, though the lady on the receiving end of this song is unmistakably Simi Garewal. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify this gentleman lip syncing in Mukesh’s voice.

The song, which I heard for the first time only a few hours ago, is a lovely song with Mukesh’s Midas touch, which grows upon the listener right from the very first time one listens to this song.

Atul ji,
The actor who is presenting this song on screen is Ravi Kumar. The film Ek Raat is the debut film for him. I am not sure about his career after his debut.
