Though I had listened to this many a times in 1970s, I was not aware aboout the details of the song. from the voice, I knew that the song was sung by Asha Bhonsle. From the racy tune, i guessed that the music of this song was composed by R D Burman. And that is all I was aware about this song.
Now, When I got re aquainted with this song again, after more than three months, I realised that this song was from ‘Hawas” (1974). Now, the mention of this movie “Hawas” readily reminds me of the song that this movie is always associated with, viz the famous song Teri galiyon me na rakkhenge kadam. The fact that this Asha Bhonsle song belonged to the same movie was not known to me.
This seductive/sensuous song is picturised on Bindu and Anil Dhawan. Saawan Kumar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Usha Khanna, who had stayed married to Saawan Kumar for a few years before separating.
This song, whic was quite well known during its time may come as a pleasant composition from that era for those who have never heard this song before.
