“Chhoti Si Mulaaqaat” (1967) was a movie produced by a production house called Our Movies. Uttam Kumar, by now a legend in Bangla movies was the producer and the movie was directed by Alo Sarkar. The movie had Vyjayanthi mala, Uttam kumar, Yogita Bali, Rajendranath, Veena, Shashikala, Tarun Bose
Pratima Devi, Badri Prasad, Sulochana Chatterjee, Ratan Gaurang, Praveen Paul, Radheshyam,Sanjeev Kumar etc in this movie. This movie was based on a Bangla story “Agnipariksha” written by Ashapoorna Devi.
I have discussed two songs from this movie including the famous title song of this movie, viz. Chhoti si mulaaqaat pyaar ban gayi which was a big rage those days.
Here is a song from “Chhoti Si Mulaaqaat” (1967). It is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Vyjyanti Mala and Uttam Kumar as a stage dance. In the picturisation, Uttam Kumar plays a tapaswi sage and Vyjyantimala plays an Apsara who is entrusted with the job of disturbing the tapasya of the sage.
Shailendra is the lyricist and music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

I don`t know what`s the meaning of the word
“KAL” in the line “KAL nahin paaye jiyaa”.

Any similarities between these two words “KAL” and “KHALAA”????
Any knowledgeable friends please enlighten me regarding the meaning of these words
