Maana ke tere pyaar mein ruswaaiyaan to hain

There are circumstances due to which films are abandoned midway during production. There are also cases where films have been completed, but once again due to some reasons, they do not get released. Many such films are lost to oblivion, and with them, also lost is the music that was created for them. The examples may be not many, but still it is not uncommon that such films and music from such films exists. For some such films, good fortune has prevailed and their music has become available over time, either officially released even though the film never saw the light of the silver screen, or unofficially put out into the gray market or on the internet.
This iconic Mukesh song is possibly from one such unreleased film. I say ‘possibly’ because it is not clear that whether the film is unreleased, or it was released but simply sank and disappeared. The name ‘Shubhchintak’ does not ring any bells in the memory, however this lovely song of sadness is occasionally heard on the radiowaves. Internet references where this film finds a mention list the year for this film as 1989. And this does intrigue me, because 1989 should be in good memory of a lot of people today, and yet I am drawing a blank for this name. Pray that other readers who may know more about this film, to please add more information.
‘Mukesh Geet Kosh’, a definitive compilation of everything that has been sung by Mukesh, provides some information about the song, but lists a different name of the movie it belongs to. As per this reference, the song is from the film ‘Dil Sachaa Chehraa Jhootha’. The lyrics are by Anjaan and the music composition is by Jagdish, a name that is not familiar, so far. (In response to a query on film name, a friend has responded that maybe the two names are of the same film.)
What a gem of a melancholic sound this song is. The voice has fittingly captured the pathos of the words just, it is just superb. Enjoy this wonderful song by Mukesh.
maanaa ke tere pyaar mein, rusvaai’aan to hain
rusvaai’on se pyaar ho hum ko to kyaa karen
Being in love with you is fetching me just dejections in life
Alas, I seem to be falling in love with the dejections themselves
What to do
armaan bujhe bujhe se hain, saansen dhuaan dhuaan
hum to bhari bahaar mein tanhaa rahey yahaan
tanhaai’on se pyaar ho hum ko to kyaa karen
The yearnings of the heart are becoming dull
And my breaths are turning into smoke
In the days of flourishing spring, I watch it all alone by myself
Alas, I seem to be falling in love with the loneliness itself
What to do
hum ko mili naseeb se kyaa khoob ye khushi
parchhaani’on ki chhaaon mein bhatke ye zindagi
parchhaain’on se pyaar ho hum ko to kyaa karen
Destiny has willed this strange happiness to me
That my life wanders aimlessly in the dark shades of shadows themselves
Alas, I seem to be falling in love with these dark shadows themselves
What to do

Atul ji,
I always believe that if one waits long enough, sometimes the rarest of the rare items will show up on the net.
Here is the video clip of this song. By all accounts, this film was not released, and I had absolutely no hope that this video clip could be available. I bumped into this suddenly today. A very very rare find indeed.
The uploader’s comment is that this is a released film. This needs some more research now.
