Chorus

Lyrics

dekho o deewaanon,
tum ye kaam na karo
Raam ka naam badnaam na karo,
badnaam na karo

dekho o deewaanon,
tum ye kaam na karo
Raam ka naam badnaam na karo,
badnaam na karo

Raam ko samjho,
Krishhn ko jaano,
neend se jaago o mastaanon
Raam ko samjho,
Krishhn ko jaano,
neend se jaago o mastaanon
jeet lo man ko padh kar Geetaa
jeet lo man ko padh kar Geetaa
man hi haaraa to kya jeetaa,
to kya jeetaa
hare Krishhna hare Raam
hare Krishhna hare Raam
hare Krishhna hare Raam

o Raam duhaayi
hare Krishhna hare Raam
hare Krishhna hare Raam
hare Krishhna hare Raam

jeewan naam hai kaam ka,
aaraam na karo
Raam ka naam badnaam na karo,
badnaam na karo
dekho o deewaanon,
tum ye kaam na karo
Raam ka naam badnaam na karo,
badnaam na karo

Hope the new generation would remember these words and his message. Still the mind doesn’t want to accept the reality that Dev Saahab is no more. My father just said that the Hindi Cinema lost “sadabahaar hero”.

Fortunate enough I lived in that era to feel the magic of RDB and Hindi film music in general. You can make it out from the fact that even today you do not feel like listening to music of any other period.
