If new year is the day of making resolutions (only to give them up after a few days 🙂 ), then last day of the year is the day of bidding farewell to the old year and welcoming the new year, hoping that the new year would bring in better luck than the previous year. Let bygone be bygones and let us make a new beginning- that is the sentiment on this occasion.
Here is a song that expresses just that sentiment. It is not a new year eve song, but it is a song with lyrics appropriate for the occasion. This song is sung by Mukesh and Suman Kalyanpur and it is picturised on Feroz Khan and Saeeda Khan. Akhtar Romani is the lyricist and music is composed by one of my favourite music directors, viz Ganesh.
