“Anokhi Ada” (1948) was a Mehboob Production movie. It was directed by Mehboob himself and the star cast of the movie included names like Prem Adeeb, Surendra, Naseem Bano, Pratima Devi, Zeb Qureshi, Cuckoo, Bhudo Advani, Nawab, Murad,etc.
The movie is still remembered for its songs. So far two songs from this movie have been discussed in this blog. Here is another song.
This song is sung by Shamshad Begam and it is picturised on Naseem Bano, with Surendra also visible in the picturisation. One can see that Naseem Bano resembles her daughter Saira Bano quite a lot, or should I say that Saira Bano resembles her mother quite a lot.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
