What is the first song that comes to one’s mind when one talks of the movie “Hariyaali Aur Raasta” (1962) ? Its title song, did you say ? What about the song Bol meri taqdeer me kya hai or Ibtidaa-e-ishq mein ham or Kho gaya hai mera pyaar or Laakhon taare asmaan mein or Teri yaad dil se bhulaane chala hoon ?
Yes, I have discussed as many as five evergreen songs from this movie but the title song was not among them. All these days I was under the impression that the title song too was already discussed, but I was wrong. I became aware of the title song missing from the blog when the lyrics of this song were sent to me by Atif M.
So here is this delightful song from “Hariyali Aur Raasta” (1962). It is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Mala Sinha, with Manoj Kumar also visible in the picturisation.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Shankar Jaikishan composed the music.

I think the song Bol Meri Taqdeer Mein Kya Hai is the title song of this movie as the actual title (without any modification) appears in the opening couplet.

There are many wonderful songs from many movies that seem to be suffering this fate, albeit unintentionally.
