Jaane anjaaney yahaan sabhi hain deewaane

I needed to post two Helen songs today and I needed to do that right now ! What do I do ? How do I find out Helen songs that were not discussed in the blog ?
Fortunately, I managed to find one Helen song whose lyrics were contributed by Prakashchandra. That still left one more Helen song to find. How to find another Helen song in a hurry ?
Then a bulb got switched on over the back of my head as they show in cartoons. It is just that it was a tubelight of the late switching on kind. I only needed to visit Memsaab’s blog and go though one of her several articles on Helen. And then discuss one of the songs from that list. That is what I did. Based on this list of Helen songs, here is the song that Memsaab rates highly, right up there.
Youtube link mentions this song as being sung by Asha Bhonsle, and I am surprised that the uploader cannot differentiate the distinctive voice of Sharda that can never be mistaken for Asha Bhonsle’s voice.
The song is written by S H Bihari (I hope YT is right on this count) and music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan (which goes without saying, since Shankar Jaikishan were the only music directors who used Sharda’s voice in their compositions).
This fantastically lively and upbeat song (Memsaab’s description) is picturised on Helen, a young and dashing Vinod Khanna, and a not so young and still dashing K N Singh. There are others too in the picturisation, but then you do not expect me to be able to identify every Amar, Akbar and Anthony in Hindi movie songs picturisations. 🙂 That is the expertise of the knowledgeable readers of this blog.
The dancing of Helen and her male dancing partners include writhing in the horizontal as well as vertical axis, apart from a few other dance movements, which will be appreciated by movie watchers, both human as well as non humans, like say dancing dogs and hopping kangaroos, for instance.
That reminds me. I recently saw a video of Ted Lyon dancing with his dog. when my wife and daughter saw that video and looked at Chhote, they saw dancing potential in Chhote too, seeing that he looked much like Ted Lyons’ dog. He too can stand on his too hind legs and walk , but that is mainly when he is baited with delicacies. And I am sure we can persuade Bhhole to sing for him.
Just when I had despairing at my inability to identify any other characters in the picturistion, I saw a middle aged gentleman entering the scene with a bang ,and I perked up, just like Helen did. Here is an actor that I recognised. He may have grown older, but the middle aged yet dashing person was unmistakably Shammi Kapoor !
In fact, I would have much preferred to let experts, like say Memsaab, write about this song, but then I needed to discuss this song right away so readers will have to manage with this write up. 🙂

song-Jaane anjaane yahaan sabhi hain deewaane (Jaane Anjaane)(1971) Singer-Sharda, Lyrics-S H Bihari, MD-Shankar Jaikishan
Lyrics
Jaane anjaane yahaan
sabhi hai deewaane
ye bhi hain
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
dil pehchaane mere
yaar hain puraane
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
tu bhi hai
hey
Jaane anjaane yahaan
sabhi hai deewaane
ye bhi hain
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
milenge
phir kabhi
jhoom ke
huzoor se
aaj to
dekhiye
door hi
door se
milenge
phir kabhi
jhoom ke
huzoor se
aaj to
dekhiye
door hi
door se
Jaane anjaane yahaan
sabhi hai deewaane
ye bhi hain
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
dil pehchaane mere
yaar hain puraane
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
tu bhi hai
bekhabar
soch toh
aur bhi
hain yahaan
sabhi ke
saamne
keh doon main
kaise haan
bekhabar
soch toh
aur bhi
hain yahaan
sabhi ke
saamne
keh doon main
kaise haan
jaane anjaane yahaan
sabhi hai deewaane
ye bhi hain
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
he
dil pehchaane mere
yaar hain puraane
ye bhi hain
wo bhi hain
tu bhi hai

Awww Atul, this is one of my very favorites. I love Oscar and Ruffled Shirt Guy (I am losing hope that I will ever find out his real name) dancing backup too.
Where did you see Ted dancing with his dog? 🙂

I saw it in your Facebook page and thought, Chhote also stands up on his rear legs. All he has to do is to learn some dance steps, and he too could be a dancer. 🙂

Ha ha, even I didn’t see it on my Facebook page!!!!! Ah well.
Gemma used to stand on her hind legs and pirouette, if there was a treat at the end of it :)))

My two dogs also like to stand on their hind legs in order to watch out of the window. They are lying in wait for some passer by (human or dog) to pass through. As soon as that happens, Bhhole barks and Chhote lip syncs, startling the passer by.
