Main hoon tera geet gori

“Mahua” (1969) was a reincarnation story and quite an ambitious one at that. Here the hero and heroine undergo not one, but two reincarnations each. It is obviously difficult to keep track of the comlicated plot, not just for the moviegoers, for for the moviemakers too. So the end result was a confused and confusing movie that duly flopped at the box office.
The music of this movie was an altogether different matter though. Sonik Omi’s music was sublime. The songs of this movie ensured that people would remember this movie at least for its music.
I have discussed two memorable songs from this movie in the past. Here is another equally memorable song. This song is a duet which is sung by Rafi and Asha Bhonsle. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist.
