“Amar” (1954) was a Mehboob Productions movie. It was produced and directed by Mehboob Khan. The movie had Nimmi, Dilip Kumar, Madhubala, Jayant, Ulhas, Mukri, Amar, Shakeel Nomani, Husn Banu, Murad etc in it.
I have discussed as many as eight songs from this movie. Mr Arunkumar Deshmukh informs me that only one song from this movie is missing. Here is that missing song from “Amar”(1954).
PS-I am now informed that this is not the last song from the movie. One more song is still missing.
This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and it is picturised on Nimmi as well as Madhubala. So this song is that rare category of song when more than one actors lip sync in the same voice.
Shakeel Badayuni is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad. And this must be one of the few Naushad compositions where he uses Asha Bhonsle’s voice.
