“Jee Chaahta Hai” (1964) was a Mitra Production Movie. It was produced and directed by Bibhuti Mitra.
The movie had Joy Mukherjee, Rajshree, Motilal, Pratima Devi, Shyama, Rajendra Nath, Jeevan, Purnima, Achala Sachdev etc in it. I have no idea how the movie did at the box office, but it is clear that the movie had some nice songs in it. As many as three songs from this movie have already been discussed in the past.
Here is another song from this movie. This lovely song is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Joy Mukherji and Rajshree. The picturisation shows the two meeting after a long wait and then this song takes place.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.

‘Jee Chaahta Hai’ was at best a ‘chaltha furza’ movie. I’d seen it when it released and today, apart from knowing that Joy and Rajshree were the lead pair, I remember nothing else!
By the way Atul-ji, it’s not Jayshree but Rajshree, her daughter who features in this song. 😉
