The film NIGHT CLUB (1958) was produced under the banner of Varma Pictures and directed by Naresh Saigal. The star cast included Ashok Kumar and Kamini Kaushal in the lead roles with Nishi, Helen, Mubarak, Maruti, S Nazir, Iftekhar, Dhumal, Gope, Keshav Rana and Ram Mohan in supporting roles. All the songs were written by Majrooh Sultanpuri and the music was composed by Madan Mohan.
The story revolves around the night club owner (Mubarak) who in the guise of running the night club is actually involved in anti-social activities, murders and dacoities. Ashok Kumar as a police inspector who is entrusted with investigating a murder case of Kamini Kaushal’s brother, joins the night club disguised as a waiter. Here he comes into contact with Kamini Kaushal who has already joined the club in the guise of a dancer to take revenge on the night club owner for murdering her brother.
With this background, one can expect a good number of club songs in the film. I have watched the video clips of 6 songs from this film, all sung by female playback singers. To the best of my knowledge, none of these six songs bears the style of Madan Mohan which he was known for today. Probably the story line of the film did not give him opportunity to compose songs bearing his trademark. One of the songs ‘nigaaon kaaishaara hai’ sung by Asha Bhonsle and Shamshad Begum can be easily mistaken for O P Nayyar’scomposition. This song is picturised on two roadside dancers and Ashok Kumar and Kamini Kaushal are onlookers. Of the two dancers, the dancer with a cap seems to be Sadhana Choudhary if I go by her appearances in ‘bichchade huye milenge phir’ – ‘Post BoxNo.999’ (1958) and ‘mujhe tarke taluuk ke liye’ – ‘Sahaara’ (1958). Although the other dancer’s face seems familiar to me, I do not remember her name.
This is a Madan Mohan song with O P Nayyar touch.

Kamath ji,
Your observation is right.For this film his assistant was Ramesh Suri who was earlier with O.P.Nayyar for some time.May be this has contributed to the similarity of music.
You heard 6 songs.There are only 7 songs in this film.One song by Asha Bhosle-Tum bade wo ho,dil jalate ho- is very good and I had liked it very much during those days.I still do.
